by Mary

Tampa International Airport (TPA) kicked off its spring break travel period on Monday by unveiling a major upgrade at Airside E. The newly opened 19,542-square-foot security checkpoint features cutting-edge screening technology to improve the passenger experience.

The upgrade is a significant enhancement for Airside E, which has been in operation since 2002 and was originally designed before the creation of the Transportation Security Administration. The expanded queueing area now includes an additional screening lane, increasing the total from six to seven and incorporating the latest security advancements.
