After a day of heavy rain, Environment Canada has issued a travel advisory for Hamilton, Niagara, and much of southern Ontario, as freezing temperatures are expected to move in.
The weather will worsen starting late Wednesday and continue into Thursday. According to Environment Canada, “travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in weather.”
The advisory warns that surfaces like highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots could become icy and slippery.
Winds could gust up to 80 kilometers per hour, and snow may reduce visibility.
In Hamilton, snow is expected to end by late Thursday afternoon.
